Hamachi:Tap: connect() failed 2

If you receive the error, 

tap: connect() failed 2 (No such file or directory)

This is most likely because the tun software was not started with tuncfg before running hamachi start from the terminal. tuncfg sets up the Hamachi virtual network adapter and the tun driver to handle the networking Hamachi requires.

Note, tuncfg needs to be run as root.

Resolution

To resolve this

Type ./usr/sbin/tuncfg (as root) from the terminal, and then hamachi start
