Troubleshooting
If you try to join a Lan Game via Hamachi and you do not see any open games when there should be open games this is the way to fix it:
Windows: Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Advanced (in the menu of the "Network Connections"-window. If you're using Windows Vista, press alt to make the menu bar visible.) -> "Advanced Settings" -> in this dialog move "Hamachi" to the top of the list.
You might have to restart your computer for these changes to take effect.
Also you should check if ping (double-click on your friend in Hamachi) works. Ping needs to work from both sides. If ping does not work it's a firewall problem.
Step 1: Find the dialog here
Step 2: Move Hamachi to the top of the list
Now you are able to join games!
In addition to this, to be able to host games there are a few factors which could attribute to your games not being seen.
Make sure to set Hamachi > System Menu > Preferences > Status > Detailed Configuration > Connecting Through NAT < UDP & TCP ports to an enabled forwarded port on your router. Make sure that your WC3 game also has an enabled port forwarded to the computer. If you have multiple computers on your network, you may want to consider setting static IP addresses and customize the ports so that they're different for each machine.
Also, in Windows Vista, open Network & Sharing Center & set your Hamachi network to Private. Under your hamachi network goto View Status > Properties > highlight Client for Microsoft Networks & hit properties. Set the Name Service Provider to Windows Locator. Hit ok. Enable QOS Packet Scheduler. Disable TCP/IPv6 if enabled. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) & hit properties > Advanced & enable Automatic metric. Hit OK OK CLOSE CLOSE.
Goodluck!
Solution
There is also one thing you have to take notice of. Me and my friends were testing out just a few stuff to get left 4 dead working, which it didnt at first. Until I saw that local IPs should be very similar, which they weren't. The solution is this:
(Turn on show hidden files)
1. Open up C:/Documents and Settings/"Your username"/Application Data (AppData in vista)
2. Exit Hamachi, then delete the Hamachi folder in the location stated above.
3. Restart Hamachi, and you and your friends need to hit the power button at almost the same time in order for all of you to get similar IPs!
4. Should be working now :D
